Since I didn't get to enjoy Mardi Gras this year, I want to hear about all the fun times you had for Mardi Gras 2013! Tell me what you caught and ate. What was your favorite parade? Who did you go with? Did you attend any balls?

I did not get to go to Mardi Gras this year because of scheduling but I have some fond memeories of years past. My first parade I can remember like it was yesterday. My Godmother was an elementary principal and she would load my family and kids I went to elementary school with up in this big van and take us to Fairhope at least a few times each year when we were in elementary school. We are from a really small town that is an hour and a half away from Fairhope so we loved to go to see the downtown lights every year during Marid Gras. The reason why this one sticks out in my mind is, she locked the keys in the van. We had to wait for 2 hours for someone to bring us the keys. We never got to miss school, but the next day because we didnt get home until after midnight we all go to check into school late. I love Mardi Gras ever since.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a great memory! Sorry you didn't get to enjoy Mardi this year, but you always got next year. Lets hope the rain doesn't wash out Fat Tuesday.
